Clark at http://www.androidandme.com/ stated

"You might want to bold the Zii Egg, its technically available now (not that anyone would want it).

I know it says pre-order but I read a bunch of places that its shipping, so who knows. Also, its not technically a phone. I'm not sure what to think of this thing, haha."

Michael,
Glad you have published this. I have been keeping a list for myself.

Assuming you are including OMS (Open Mobile System) phones in the Android category, then there are a few more you should definitely include:

Amoi
Coolpad
Dopod
Hisense
TCL Mobile
Yulong

It might also be interesting to compile a list of the silicon vendors that will be included in those aforementioned handsets. Here is a start to that list:

Chongqing Chongyou
Leadcore
Marvell
MediaTek
MIPs
Spreadtrum
ST Ericsson
T3G
TI
Qualcomm

As you can see, although the first Android phones to hit the market have been released in North America and Europe, the primary manufacturer (HTC) and greatest amount of foreseen activity is in Asia. It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds.

Open Kernel Labs plays a key role in the easing of development of Android devices. Our microvisor, OKL4, is the market leading embedded virtualization solution currently in more than 300MM devices, including some Android terminals. To get a better idea, check this out:

Webinar: Migration at the Speed of Light

Migrating to Android on a low cost, single core processor
https://event.on24.com/eventRegistration/EventLob...

This webinar examines how OKL4, a microkernel-based embedded hypervisor enables a system architecture that dramatically eases migration to Android – the hottest new mobile device software platform – allowing developers to maintain existing investments, reduce development overhead, speed time to market, satisfy customer demand, and do it all on a lower cost, single core device.
Accompanying whitepaper will be available for download.

The Kogan phone is all but dead now. Not sure if he'll release a phone or not…

@Lemon

Ruslan Kogan stated a few months ago he is still planning to release an Android phone at some point although you are right that the Agora & Agora Pro names are now given to netbooks from Kogan.

Thats a great question as I believe the Sholes is the evolution of the Calgary & may be in in the same once it comes to market.

thanks for the answer, michael.

i am interested in calgary because calgary appears to be one of the best looking android phones from the rendering, just my personal opinion. i would have to say sholes is not as good looking. but if it indeed have 3.7" screen, the big screen would make up for it.

by the way, i remember this article about general mobile's dstl1.

I don't believe the Zii Egg has phone capabilities… It is more a computing device than a PDA or a Phone. Check out my blog for information on the Zii Egg.

Cheers & awesome compilation. I am an Android fan as well.

The list is great but it would be really useful if it included specs (or rumored specs) to compare all the phones. Along with official or rumored release dates…

Cooper 14 Michael_Martin August 19, 2009 at 8:54 pm

You are right as this is meant to be a simple list for this post.

I will add specs and release dates to the chronically updated page at http://www.andgeeks.com/faq-about-google-and...

Cooper 15 Michael_Martin August 19, 2009 at 8:55 pm

Great point – sure looks like a phone, although it seems its everything but.

I will modify in the updated list at http://www.andgeeks.com/faq-about-google-and...

Thank You!

There is another one available already:
CompuLabs Exeda (http://www.compulab.co.il/exeda/html/exeda-datash...

The list I compiles can be found here (http://www.android-os.de/content/blogcategory/18/...

Cooper 17 Michael_Martin August 22, 2009 at 3:28 am

I added the CompuLabs Exeda a while ago to the ongoing list at http://www.andgeeks.com/faq-about-google-and...

Vielen Dank!

I saw sprint hero's announcement last week. i almost think it warrant as a different phone from european hero. :) Wondering if LG Etna another name for LG GW620 Eve? I just saw a screenshot of etna with android screen.

Cooper 20 Michael_Martin September 7, 2009 at 11:32 pm

@SWU,

I am curious if they will give the American Hero a different designation or at least version number – good point!

Good question about the LG ETNA being the same as the reported LG EVE – my initial reaction is no, but it very well could be.
