Comic Con Without Android is like San Diego Without Sun

I went to the Comic Con Preview Night here in San Diego on Wednesday and thought this would have been the perfect venue to have a presentation or booth for Android.

Android debuted after Comic Con in 2008 so this would been have a great coming out party to show a larger key demographic the advanced Google Android devices such as the HTC Hero or the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Rachael.

The crowd was packed in the huge San Diego Convention Center and this was ONLY Preview Night.

It seemed Hasbro was cleaning up at Comic Con leveraging the movie buzz and selling EXPENSIVE 25 year anniversary Transformers & GI Joe figures.

There were even 30 minute lines just to get a free movie poster nevermind the line of people waiting that long just to PURCHASE the above mentioned Hasbro items.

Then there is the coming Twilight teen onslaught mixing with the 100s of zombies walking around San Diego promoting Woody Harrelson’s Zombieland.

Over the years movies and video games merged with the actual comics in the conference but I didn’t notice any mobile games or apps displayed this year.

I believe the mobile presence will be added to the 2010 Comic Con which MUST have its own Android app in tandem or in place of the current iPhone one.
