I regularly use Outlook as my calendar and got an Android phone because I wanted to have a phone with a good calendar system. I'm also trying to start up a new business, and maintaining an organized calendar and syncing all my data is even more crucial than ever. Having CompanionLink will help me manage everything more efficiently and make syncing less of a worry. Thanks!

I am in school and employed by the University. With work especially Outlook is used to coordinate scheduling and tasks associated with my job. Before I switched to my Moto Droid from a WinMo phone syncing with outlook was easy. Now I am unable to view or sync shared calendars or tasks on Android, without manually entering them in on a computer. Having the ability to sync outlook with my google account would really help me out!

I am a heavy user of Task Management Apps. Currently I find "Got To Do","Astrid" and "Shuffle" the best GTD like apps of the moment. Of course one of the best features of all of them is the ability to sinchronize with a Desktop application (Toodledo, RTM and Tracks respectivily). CompanionLink Professional Android Sync pick my attention as well. However it's not ready to prime time as a Task Management application. The CompanionLink Android Client lacks the possibility to define the Due Time of a Task and there aren't Reminders. Still I give a look every other week to their Site to see if these features have been added. I used CompanionLink in the past with a Palm Treo and found the Synch program to be very reliable. So I hope CompanionLink will improve the Android line of products to the standards they have get us used to. Keep the good work!

My phone is my life blood. Any information that is part of my life is in my phone. I already have my Google data synced, but the rest of my data requires manually backups and copying over to my PC. CompanionLink would not only make my life easier, it would make me more productive as a person.

After trying the CompanionLink Pro trial, I'm convinced that it would solve a long-standing problem for me of synchronizing my Google Apps For Your Domain account with my Exchange-based Outlook account at the office. Currently (and I got official word on this from Google's Enterprise division), Google offers no plug-in or application that will constantly (or on a scheduled basis) synchronize Outlook (or, for that matter, an Exchange account) with Google Apps. What they do offer is a cadre of tools that are motivated entirely by their desire to migrate people away from Exchange servers and into the Google cloud (where they can exact Enterprise revenues). In other words, the Google-provided Outlook synchronization tools only do a one-time transfer. Google are coy about why they refuse to offer a live synchronization solution, but again, you can see why they don't want to encourage people to stay with Microsoft Exchange, and they prefer coercing people to migrate entirely into the Google cloud.

For me, the bottom line is that while mobile operating systems and conduits have come and gone (this dates me back to the Intellisync days, and more recently the disgustingly restrictive Verizon "Get It Now" ["get it never"] architecture), with Google and Android we finally have a future-proof repository for everything which isn't likely to go anywhere, for literally decades. That's exciting.

With such massive stability and functionality, I'm surprised quite frankly that CompanionLink is the only substantial player in this area.

My Droid is the first portable "smart device" that didn't sync tightly to Outlook and its inherent goodness (I like it, way more than I like Lotus Notes that we use at work. I'm not syncing cleanly to that, either, right now…). I really like having things in sync, and while the various freebie Google accessories will let me keep some stuff updated, it's not a really solid solution. I end up with contacts in one place and not the other, and there's some stuff I'm leery about having go "through or into the cloud". So a direct sync would be very appealing.

I have been using PDAs for nearly the past decade. They have been instrumental in keeping me organized between work, hobby, family and charity work. Most recently I was using a Windows Mobile phone, synchronizing continually while at work so I could grab my phone and go with the confidence that the data on both devices matched. ____I just purchased my first touchscreen phone, the HTC Droid Eris. It's a fabulous device and I'm very happy with it…EXCEPT that getting my calendar, contacts, tasks and notes synchronized is not just difficult, it's nearly impossible at this point. I tried synching Outlook and my Eris via Google and directly with HTC Sync. Dismal.____I am a brand new user of a trial version of Companion Link. Considering all the great reviews, I'm really looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and putting it to work. ____

Free applications is what open-source is all about. I deserve this because it's free.

Why wouldn't I want a nice sync solution for my Motorola Droid. That's really the only convenient thing that the iPhone has over Android.

What I love about Android is the fact that if you can imagine it, someone is writing an app for it and I can install it without some company being the gatekeeper.

Generating and following up on a lot of tasks is a pretty basic productivity function. My work requires a lot of this (private consulting engineer). Staying in sync with my corporate/desktop platform would be a big plus. Seems to be a bit of a weak link in the droid platform for business users and the the early and most full featured sync applications should do well. Hope mine is free!

I actually purchased the smaller version of companionlink to use to sync my new android phone with MS outlook 2010, because I was unable to find any other software on the market that fit my needs.
I am a computer consultant with a customer base of somewhere near 600. I just yesterday recommended Companionlink to one of my clients and he’s trying it out.
I could really use the pro version to become familiar with the full line of software, and that would allow me to recommend it even more and quite possibly increase your sales. My clients take my advice seriously and most of them call me to ask before buying anything for their computers or other electronics in the their life.
